Recovering Nepal is a National Network of People Who Use Drugs- PWUD and Drug Service Organizations in Nepal. Recovering Nepal was originally founded in 2001 by energetic people who use drugs and PLHA to combat HIV and drugs and works through agreements with the government of Nepal. Recovering Nepal has 144 organizational members and informal individual members.

1st National Harm Reduction Media Conference 2011
The 1st National Harm Reduction Media Conference 2011 was inaugurated today (11 January 2011) in Hotel Malla, Lainchaur, Kathmandu in the chairmanship of Mr. Anan Pun (Executive Director Recovering Nepal, a national Network of Drug Using people and Drug Service organizations of Nepal). Mr. Shankar Pokhrel, Minister of Information and Communication, Chief guest of the program, formally inaugurated the Conference.
Violation of Human Rights among drug users community in Butwal,Nepal
Police harassment and Human Rights violation among drug users in the country is not new phenomenon, this has been practiced since drug users were identified in the country in 1960. Beating on the street, taking to the custody without reason, blaming for the others crime and pressurize to own up crimes without being guilty is common among drug users community.
